Parker Software Development Inc. has updated NewsHunter, their Usenet newsgroup utility, to version 2.0.7.
On the Decoding tab, there’s now an option that lets you control how often the decoded files list should be cleared. Before, the list could only be cleared by clicking the Clear List button. As of NewsHunter 2.0.7, the Utilities menu now has a “Compact Database” command. The longer you run NewsHunter, the larger the database becomes, so you can use this command to compact the database periodically. NewsHunter 2.0.7, a free upgrade to current owners, also fixes various bugs.
You can download the utility at the Parker Software Web site. Unregistered versions of the US$49.95 program are fully functional, won’t time out and never expire. However, they’ll display occasional messages reminding you to register.
