Hoping to extend Apple’s successful Switch ad campaign overseas, Apple Japan has debuted its own set of television ads aimed at showing Japanese consumers real people who have switched from other platforms to the Macintosh.
Apple Japan’s Web site features eight ads — available for online viewing in QuickTime format, of course — some of which have also appeared on Japanese television. Several men and women from various walks of life offer brief testimonials on their conversion to the Macintosh world.
In all other respects, the Apple Japan’s Switch Web site is more or less identical to its U.S. counterpart — background information about each user’s switch is offered, along with detailed information about how to switch from a Windows PC to a Mac, what sort of software and hardware is available, and more.
