Rage Software, a Mac software development firm has updated WebDesign, their Web authoring application package for the Mac OS and Mac OS X, to version 1.8.
The update adds the ability to edit PHP files using full PHP syntax coloring. You can now update an entire Web site by editing one file using “WebDesign Includes” feature, which allows you to include the contents of external files within your Web page. WebDesign 1.8 can convert HTML entities on the fly as you type or convert entire Web pages to use appropriate HTML entity values, according to the folks at Rage. There are also preview and saving enhancements. The update also beefs up performance, stability as well as support for Mac OS X 10.2.
Version 1.8 is free to registered users of version 1.x. Otherwise, WebDesign can be purchased for US$29.95 through the Rage Software Online Store. Volume and academic discounts are available. Also, Rage Software also offers a competitive upgrade option ($20.95) for registered users of PageSpinner 3.x or higher. A free trial version of WebDesign is available for download.
