ackNOWLEDGE has introduced the iSkin Keyboard Protector, designed for Apple’s newer iBooks and PowerBook G4s.

The protector is made of translucent silicone, and protects against spills, dirt, crumbs and other stuff that might get trapped between the keys of your keyboard. The manufacturer said that the iSkin Keyboard Protector is specially designed to form-fit both the iBook and the PowerBook G4, and doesn’t restrict typing. It’s removable and hand-washable, and can be left on when the laptop is closed. It also purportedly helps to avoid damage to iBook and PowerBook screens caused by keyboard.
The iSkin Keyboard Protector works specifically on PowerBook G4s running at 667MHz or faster, and the “white” iBook models.
The US$24.99 accessory comes in six different colors, called Skin Tones: Blue Mist, Bubble Gum, Creamsicle, Lemonade, LimeLight and White Frost. The tints add a splash of color to your system.
