Shareware developer Angelo Scicolone has released AliasMultiplier X 2.6, a new version of his multi-alias maker. This upgrade includes several improvements and has been optimized for Mac OS X 10.2 Jaguar, he said.
AliasMultiplier X, made with the REALbasic editing environment from REAL Software, creates single aliases that can open applications, documents, folders or Web page. To use it, just drag items you want the alias to open over the application icon and then click Save. AliasMultiplier X also lets you modify aliases or edit the launch-order of AliasMultiplier’s alias.
Version 2.6 also has improved overall stability thanks to REALbasic 4.5.2 runtime, Scicolone said. And now bundled applications aren’t displayed as folders; the “Type” column now displays more detailed information about items; and AliasMultiplier X can now remember the window position for multi-alias windows.
AliasMultiplier X 2.6 is available now for download. It requires Mac OS X 10.1.5 or later. Registration is US$7.
