Tech Superpowers Inc. and BioTeam have announced a new weeklong workshop in Boston, Ma. called Porting to Mac OS X. The dynamic duo said that the workshop is aimed at IT professionals and informaticists looking for in-depth info on converting UNIX applications to Mac OS X.

Scheduled to take place from December 9 – 13 at Tech Superpowers’ own Boston training center, the workshop costs US$2,995 per attendee. It’s being taught by BioTeam’s William Van Etten, Ph.D. Van Etten has ported bioinformatics applications to Mac OS X and has been written up by O’Reilly & Associates, Apple and BioITWorld.
The workshop will cover topics ranging from compiling C code to vectorizing an application for Altivec to adding an Aqua interface.
