The USB ThumbDrive is plug and play compatible with Macs, Windows and Linux systems, according to Memorex, and reads data at up to 700Kbps, writing data at up to 350Kbps. The ThumbDrive also offers 10 years of data retention.
As with other similar products, the ThumbDrive is bus-powered, shock-resistant and unaffected by magnetic interference. It’s also small enough to fit on a key ring, making it suitable for casual backups or transfer of files from one computer to another.
Look for the USB ThumbDrives to hit stores this month for US$59.99 and $99.99 for the 64 and 128MB models respectively.
