Information Appliance Associates has updated PocketMac to version 2.0, adding Jaguar compatibility. PocketMac is a native Mac sync tool that allows you to sync your Mac directly with a Pocket PC device via USB.
New features include the ability to browse the Internet with your Pocket PC while connected to your Mac; full compatibility with HP 54x and iPaq 3900 devices; compatibility with several of the newer Pocket PC phones; and the ability to sync with the Mac OS X Address Book and iCal. Perhaps the most important change is the easier setup, said Terence Goggin, product manager for PocketMac.
“No longer do our users have to configure obscure network settings to get PocketMac to work with their device,” he said. “It’s now automatically configured for them with no work.”
PocketMac 2.0 works with Mac OS X and Mac OS 9.x. The regular edition of PocketMac is US$49.95. The $69.95 pro version contains all the features of the regular version, plus adds the ability to synchronize your contacts and calendar between the Pocket PC and Entourage/Exchange Server.
