Pocket Software has released PocketNotes 2.0, its notepad application designed for outlining and planning. The new version sports many new features and improvements.

Billed as “the ultimate Mac OS X notepad,” PocketNotes features an integrated outliner, support for multiple skins, the ability to attach notes to each item in an outline with multiple font, text color and image support; a “links shelf” that provides links to Web pages, e-mail address, files, and so on; unlimited undo support; and more.
Changes in PocketNotes 2.0 include updated notes with live links, notes toolbar, page numbering and margin control; new outline display options; an improved reminder system; alias support; improved printing; enhanced searching; contextual menu support; new default note preferences; updated skin support, and eleven new skins.
PocketNotes 2.0 is a free update for registered users. The software costs US$20 to register, and a 30-day trial version is available for download. PocketNotes 2.0 requires Mac OS X.
