X-RIP is a Raster Image Processor (RIP) drive for large formats and printers designed to work natively on Mac OS X. X-RIP has been developed for companies needing to output CAD, technical illustration, graphics, publishing and photographic output.
In addition to Jaguar support, X-RIP 1.2 sports support for Hewlett-Packard’s DesignJet 100 printer, a four-color printer aimed at small businesses looking for a low-cost A1 solution, according to Microspot.
X-RIP offers Print Center-level printing, support for large format printing in high resolutions up to 1200 dots per inch and USB-to-parallel converter support.
Microspot X-RIP Direct Connection 1.2 requires Mac OS X 10.2, 256MB RAM, G3 or better. It costs US$549, or £349 (excluding VAT).
