Netlock Technologies, a provider of enterprise network security solutions, has updated their Nortel Multi-OS Contivity VPN Client to version 2.1.
The VPN client, which features Network Address Translation (NAT) traversal and compression for improved data rate performance, will add Mac OS X support next month. It currently supports Windows, Linux, Solaris, HP-UX and IBM-AIX operating systems.
The Nortel Multi-OS Contivity VPN Client 2.1 incorporates support for LZS compression, support for Solaris 64 bit operating systems, and Dynamic NAT traversal. These features enable interoperability with any network infrastructure and eases deployment and administration, said Claudia Beaty, general manager of Netlock Technologies.
Customers with multiple systems working behind firewalls and routers can now communicate securely with Nortel switches, she said. And those with non-Windows platforms can utilize Nortel switches and take advantage of LZS compression for improved performance, Beaty said.
The Multi-OS Version 2.0 client upgrade is available to all Nortel Contivity VPN customers with an active maintenance contract. E-mail the company for details.
