Rampell Software LLC has updated AlwaysONline to version 3.0. AlwaysONline enables America Online users to prevent disconnections due to inactivity. This new version is specifically for “Classic” Mac OS users, although a separate release of AlwaysONline is also available for Mac OS X users.

The new version of AlwaysONline has been rewritten to hand all new AOL timer messages, and includes an improved “activity generation” system to keep users online. The software also now includes an auto-update mechanism to retrieve update data from the Internet. AlwaysONline works immediately after installation without requiring further configuration, according to the developers.
AlwaysONline 3.0 requires Mac OS 8.0 or higher and any version of AOL. It costs US$18.95 to register. Users of previous versions can upgrade for $13.95.
