If you’ve wanted to grab Pangea Software’s new game Bugdom 2 but you’ve been unable or unwilling to download the game from online sources, Pangea reports today that it’s available on CD-ROM.

Bugdom 2 is the sequel to Pangea’s best-selling game ever, featuring an all new cast of characters. This time you take the role of Skip, a young grasshopper accosted by the Bully Bee on his way to visit his family. The Bully Bee steals Skip’s knapsack, which sends Skip off on an adventure across the diminutive world of Bugdom in search of his things. Along the way, Skip is helped by friends like Sam the Snail and Sally the Chipmunk.
Skip will make his way across numerous hazards like a backyard filled with hostile insects, a swimming pool, a children’s playroom, and much more, with varied levels of action including surfing down drainpipes and bombing anthills from a balsa wood flyer.
As with Pangea’s past games, Bugdom 2 is Mac-first and for now, anyway, Mac-exclusive. The game requires an iMac DV/400MHz or faster system with 128MB RAM and Mac OS 9 or higher, including Mac OS X.
Pangea is selling the game direct rather than going through retail distribution, and when Bugdom 2 was first released, the game was available only as an online download that could be registered by paying a license fee of US$29.95. For those folks who can’t manage the large download or would rather have a physical copy, Pangea now has the game CD-ROM, for $34.95. The CD contains unregistered versions of Pangea’s other games too.
