Peripheral maker Griffin Technology Inc. is celebrating the one year anniversary of its PowerMate peripheral with a special limited edition black version, available exclusively from Griffin’s e-store.

The PowerMate is a USB peripheral designed to serve as a volume knob, jog/shuttle wheel for digital video editing or scroll wheel for long documents. It can also be programmed for many other purposes too, using the included driver software.
The PowerMate has until now been available only in a brushed aluminum finish that complements the silver chassis of Power Macs and PowerBooks; it also sports a bright blue pulsing light underneath. Now, for a limited time, the brushed aluminum version is available in black.
