released an update
for Quicken 2003 for Macintosh. Release 3 (R3), which Intuit recommends, offers features for all users, as well as Mac OS X only features.
Intuit says that all Quicken 2003 for Mac users get the following new features:
Capital Gains Estimator and Tax Planner: Updates to the tax calculation tables have been made to provide more current information when using the Capital Gains Estimator.
QuickFill: You may have encountered a problem with duplicated QuickFill transactions which caused instability with the data file. Attempting to delete the duplications may cause the Quicken Program to stop responding. This issue has been fixed.
One Step Update/ PIN Vault/ Scheduled Updates: Increased stability and performance changes have been made to these areas.
Printing: You may have experienced a problem where you were unable to print memorized reports. This issue has been fixed.
Mouse scroll wheel support: Additional support has been added in this release to improve mouse scroll wheel use.
Reports and graphs: Changes have been made in this release to provide a more stable experience while using reports and graphs.
Save A Copy and Reconciled Transactions: You may have encountered an issue when using the Save A Copy feature on a data file with manually reconciled transactions which caused the status of these transactions to change from a “R” to a “C.” This issue has been fixed in this release.
Two issues have been resolved that affect Mac OS X users:
Sending Online Payments: Occasionally Quicken 2003 for Macintosh would stop responding when attempting to send payments.
PIN Vault: You may have noticed that stored PINs were unable to be viewed or edited. The R3 update takes care of this.
New features and bug fixes of interest to download transaction users are:
Matching previously downloaded transactions: Quicken 2003 for Mac may have stopped responding when attempting to match transactions previously downloaded. The problem has been resolved.
Downloading investment transactions: In some circumstances, the application would stop responding following a successful download session. This issue has been fixed.
To use the R3 update, you need to be a registered user of Quicken 2003 for Macintosh.
