Two weeks following Transmit 2’s release, Panic has posted Transmit 2.1, a new version of the Mac FTP client software.

Transmit 2 is a reworked version of Panic’s popular FTP client software for the Macintosh, now featuring Mac OS X native support and a slew of new options and improvements.
Transmit 2.1 adds a new feature called “Edit in BBEdit,” enabling users to edit content using Bare Bones Software’s popular text editing software. French localization has been added and AppleScript support has also been improved. Problems including visible passwords and “phantom items” when dragging into a folder have both been fixed, along with some “rare crashes” and more.
Transmit 2.1 is a free update for Transmit 2.0 owners. A license costs US$24.95, or $16.95 to update from Transmit 1.
