The folks at Parker Software Development Inc. have released
ArcherPro 3.0.0, an update to their multimedia viewer for Mac OS X that lets you combine still images, audio and video files into the same slideshow.

ArcherPro lets you view all sorts of still images, including Illustrator, Photoshop and TARGA files. Select a folder of images and ArcherPro will import them. The utility’s slide shows can contain video files as well as still images and audio files. When ArcherPro encounters a video file, it will automatically load the movie and display the first frame. If you have the “Play Movies” option turned on, ArcherPro will automatically begin playing the movie once it has been loaded. Version 3.0.0 includes the following new changes and enhancements:
Pan Image. When viewing images, you now have the option of panning. To toggle between panning and drag and drop, you can choose Pan Image from the Play menu or hit the “G” key.
Tag Image. If you see an image you like, hit the “T” key or select Tag Image from the Play menu to “tag” it. When you use the Export Slide Show command, you will be given the opportunity to export the entire slide show or only the images that you have tagged. Tags are saved with your ArcherPro documents. And, of course, you can clear all the tags you’ve set.
Warn On Delete. Normally ArcherPro silently deletes the displayed image from your hard drive when you hit the “D” key. You can change this using the Preferences window. There’s a new “Warn On Delete” preference that, when enabled, will display a dialog asking if you want to delete the image.
ArcherPro 3.0.0 is a free update to all registered users. For others, registration is US$29.95. ArcherPro can be downloaded from the Parker Web site. A demo version is also available.
