Western Digital Corp. has announced what they say is the largest and fastest external hard drive available in the market. Their 200GB FireWire external hard drive boasts a 7200 RPM spin speed and FireWire interface.
The 200GB FireWire external hard drive is due this month and will be available at, among other places, the company’s online store. The estimated street retail price for is US$399.
The hard drive is compatible with any FireWire-enabled Mac running Mac OS X or Mac OS 9.x. All Western Digital FireWire products carry a one-year warranty.
