Aladdin Systems Holdings Inc., which makes a variety of Mac utilities, saw its revenue increase 24 percent to just over US$1.9 million for its third financial quarter, which ended September 30.
For the quarter, the company reported a net income of $336,163 or $0.03 per share (basic and diluted), compared with revenues of $1,569,108 and net loss of $(387,102), or ($0.04) per share (basic and diluted), in the same period last year. The cash position increased by 703 percent from the third quarter of 2001 to the third quarter of 2002, said CEO Jonathan Kahn.
“The combination of the StuffIt and Ten for X product releases helped make the quarter successful,” Kahn said. “With the addition of Aladdin Enterprise Solutions we have added another building block to grow our business and leverage our technology.”
During the quarter Aladdin released updates to its StuffIt product line: StuffIt Deluxe 7.0, StuffIt Standard 7.0 for Macintosh and Ten for X.
The company also entered into a strategic partnership with Detto Technologies Inc., which recently shipped Move2Mac, to incorporate its StuffIt and iClean Internet clean up and protection software.
