Pixels Digital has released Pixels 3D 4.1, the company’s OS X native 3D animation software.
In addition to Mac OS X compatibility, Pixels 3D 4.1 adds a new, faster ray tracing engine and a new serial registration system. The application also provides a RenderMan compliant renderer as a built-in standard at no additional cost; an updated user interface; an Attribute Manager; a Particle System; and ShaderMaker Pro.
Pixels Digital rolled out a money back guarantee for people buying Pixels 3D 4.1. “Within 14 days of purchase, if you decide that it isn’t the finest 3D animation software available for anywhere near its price, let us know why in an email to sales@pixels.net, and we will refund your purchase price,” the company’s Web site says.
Pixels 3D will cost US$399 for a new user and $199 if you upgrade from version 3.x. Competitive upgrades are being offered for $299.
