Not only has Sorenson Media announced plans to release Sorenson Squeeze 3 for MPEG-4 (see separate story), they’ve also updated Sorenson Squeeze for Macromedia Flash MX to version 3.

Sorenson Squeeze 3 for Macromedia Flash MX ships with the professional version of the Sorenson Spark code. It allows Flash developers and designers to automatically compress an entire directory of Macromedia SWF and FLV files through the use of Watch Folders.
Sorenson Squeeze 3 for Macromedia Flash MX integrates with Sorenson Vcast, a live and on-demand video webcasting service that manages and delivers compressed QuickTime, RealMedia, Windows Media, Microsoft Producer, and Flash Player video content over the Web.
Sorenson Squeeze 3 for Macromedia Flash MX is available as either a single application or is included in the Sorenson Squeeze 3 Compression Suite. Both Sorenson Squeeze 3 products (Windows and Macintosh) are expected to ship in the first quarter of 2003. The estimated street price is US$119 for the standalone product and US$449 for Sorenson Squeeze 3 Compression Suite. Upgrade pricing is available for current Sorenson Media users.
