Andromeda Software Inc. is releasing RedEyePro Filter, an Adobe Photoshop plug-in that’s compatible with Mac OS X and Mac OS 9.x. The newest filter to be included in the Photographic Tools & Lens Effects Software Collection is Andromeda’s first Mac OS X native release.
When you’re taking photos, red-eye is caused by light reflected off a subject’s retina if a flash picture is taken in low light. RedEyePro is designed to fix circular and noncircular red-eye while preserving remaining iris color and transitions, as well as reserving glints and reflective details. The plug-in offers selective Unapply and Unpaint tools and works on both RGB and CMYK images.
RedEyePro will be available for download from the Andromeda Web site early next month. The price will be US$39, though you can preorder now for $29.
