Apple’s has turned to celebrities once again for its newest round of “Switch” ads. Featured in ads that began airing on primetime television this week are Classical cellist
Yo Yo Ma
De La Soul.
“I don’t follow instructions very well,” says Ma in his Switch ad. “I like to get in and do things and see what happens … my G4 allows that to happen. Macs are friendly to people like me.”
De La Soul says they have done a lot of their songs on the Mac. “The Mac was the brain … it’s a great brain, the Mac Baby.”
Yo Yo Ma and De La Soul aren’t the first celebrities that have appeared in Apple’s Switch campaign ads. DJ Qbert, Tony Hawk and Kelly Slater have all done ads in the past couple of months.
