CoolShield.com now offers new accessories for PowerBook G4s and iBooks — the CoolShield and the ScreenSleeve.

The CoolShield is a shielding device that prevents your PowerBook G4’s display from washing out because of reflected light, and also provides an added degree of privacy when working in a public spot. What’s more, the CoolShield also equipped with a “SmartLyte,” an LED light source that illuminates the keyboard.
The CoolShield is lightweight, made of vinyl, and collapses when not in use without needing to remove it from the PowerBook completely. The company also makes models for 12- and 14-inch iBooks. The CoolShield costs US$39.95.
ScreenSleeve is designed to prevent the PowerBook or iBook’s screen from accumulating damaging oils transferred to it from the keyboard. The ScreenSleeve is made of an “UltraSuede” material that fits over the screen itself, with a notch cut out to accommodate the laptop’s latching mechanism. In addition to keeping the screen clean, the ScreenSleeve also protects the top of the PowerBook or iBook from scratching.
The machine-washable ScreenSleeve is available in Misty Gray for $29.50.
