Default Folder X has been updated to version 1.6.4, adding a menu to the Dock for faster access to folders.
Default Folder is a tool from St. Clair Software that enhances the Open and Save dialog boxes on the Mac. It lets you set up a default folder for any or all applications, switch among recently used folders, and navigate to your favorite folders. You can click on the buttons to go to your favorite and recently used folders, manage the folders and files shown in the list, and make changes to their settings.
Version 1.6.4 also includes the ability to exclude Default Folder X from certain applications. It also purportedly offers improvements in reliability and performance.
This update is free to users who have registered earlier versions Default Folder X. Users of Default Folder 3.x receive a US$15 discount off the regular $34.95 price.
