Hallmarks of the new LCD 60 Series include a built-in power supply and cable management; high-brightness backlight; resolution support of up to 1280 x 1024 pixels; detachable base and arm/wall mounting support and a “vacation switch” which powers down the display completely. Some models also feature “XtraView,” NEC-Mitsubishi’s wide-angle display technology; “OmniColor” six-axis color control; swivel and tilt ability; USB 2.0 hub integration; integrated stereo speakers; and “LiquidView” software management.
New 15-inch displays in the line include the LCD1560V, LCD1560M and LCD1560NX. 17-inch displays include the LCD1760V, LCD1760NX and LCD1760VM. The LCD1860NX rounds out the line as the new 18-inch display. Five of the seven new models feature DVI-D and VGA interface support — the remaining two are analog-only.
NEC-Mitsubishi anticipates that the new LCD 60 Series will be available in December, with a complete line rollout by the end of Q1 2003. Prices range from US$329.99 to $749.99 depending on model.
