PowerProduction Software has released StoryBoard Quick version 4. The new software has been designed to assist with the creation of storyboards for film, video and multimedia projects. It runs natively in Mac OS X and Mac OS 9 (and Windows).
The new version of StoryBoard Quick sports new images, new imports and exports, and new window sizes used to compose storyboards. Ten pre-drawn characters are available in five different actions — standing, sitting, running, jumping and prone — and you can add more if you need to. Extra library bins have been added so you can keep more artwork handy. JPEG and GIF import has been added, and a new transparency feature removes single color backgrounds when you import bitmap images or Internet graphics. You can now import scripts and screenplays from text files, and from screenwriting applications as well.
StoryBoard Quick costs US$279 for a single-user license. PowerProduction Software also offers educational, government and volume licensing.
