Freedom Force is the tactical role-playing game featuring superheroes who defend Patriot City. MacPlay also announced today that the game would ship in time for the holidays; the company is now accepting pre-orders for the game.
Each mission in the game features a primary objective, according to Apple’s Brad Cook, while secondary objectives add to the heroes’ prestige points. Those points can be used in turn to recruit new superheroes to the team. Experience points add to each superhero’s power, as well.
While you’re there, you can also take a look at a QuickTime trailer of Masque Publishing’s new Slots from Bally Gaming in action. The game features more than 20 actual video slot machines complete with bonus rounds, using characters from old-time comic strip favorites like Popeye, Blondie, Betty Boop and much more. And the game runs natively in Mac OS X.
