eArtist is a FileMaker Pro-developed custom database solution that provides features designed specifically for fine artists to help manage their businesses. It’s a “data organizer” that includes features like mailing list management, report printing, slide label printing, receipts and more.
Changes in eArtist 2.0 include the ability to import images from a folder or directory, and support for direct image capture from digital cameras (using Mac OS X). POSTNET barcode printing is now supported for mailing labels, envelops and postcards. Other user-requested changes have also been made. What’s more, educational pricing is now available — educators and students can now buy eArtist for almost 50 percent off the regular price.
eArtist 2.0 runs on Mac OS 8.6 or later, including Mac OS X, as well as various flavors of Windows. It costs US$95 to register ($10 more if you want a CD-ROM too), or $50 if you’re an educator or student. Upgrades from eArtist 1.x cost $25. A downloadable demo version is available.
