CTX International Inc. today announced two new 17-inch LCD displays aimed at consumers with modest needs and modest pocketbooks — the S700 and the S730. Both displays feature a slim bezel design and they work with either a Mac or a PC equipped with analog video (SVGA) connectors.

Both displays sport SXGA (1280 x 1024 pixel) native resolution, with the ability to display 16.7 million colors. The monitors also sport a 350:1 contrast ratio and feature user controls to adjust auto-tune, brightness, contrast, color temperature, size, positions, phase, dithering, text or graphics optimization, smoothing and multi-language support.
The S700 is available in beige, while the S730 comes in a champagne-colored bezel with chrome buttons. They’re both wall-mountable, as well. The S700 carries an estimated street price of US$460, while the S730 costs $473.
