Shareware developer Steve Becker has released iPrint 1.0 for Mac OS X, a background utility that adds a new, universal keyboard shortcut for printing.
iPrint offers the ability to have total control over the data you print in almost all applications that let you select text, Becker said. You can choose and print anything from a single character to dozens of pages. iPrint also accelerates printing, eliminates Web browser printing problems, and cuts down on ink/toner users, Becker said.
iPrint works in the background and takes up no desktop space. It supports both multi-styled text and colored text and has been optimized for use with AOL’s built-in chat client, AOL’s Instant Messenger (AIM), and iChat.
It requires Mac OS X 10.1 or later. A free, fully functional demonstration version of iPrint is available for download. Registration is US$14.95.
