This month’s meeting includes the customary demo reel sessions, along with user group announcements, member announcements, a pizza break (make sure to order your slices at the check-in table) and more. There’ll also be a preview of December’s meeting, which “promises to be a blast,” according to the group’s coordinators, along with a look at what’s coming to Macworld Expo in San Francisco this coming January.
Special events scheduled for the November 20 meeting include a presentation entitled “Filmmaking: The Collaborative Process” by Dorothy Fadiman and members of Concentric Media, information on Discreet Combustion presented by Lee Roderick, and a special “mini-demo” of the OpTex DV Anamorphic Attachment for digital camcorders — a device that enables DV filmmakers to shoot in 16:9 and 2:35:1 aspect ratios.
