Native Instruments has announced a new bundle aimed at DJs who want to make their PowerBooks a core part of their music-making ensemble: The Traktor DJ Studio 2.0 Bundle.

The bundle puts Native Instruments’ own Traktor DJ Studio 2.0 together with Ego Systems Inc.’s GIGAPort AG, a USB to 8 channel analog interface. Traktor DJ Studio 2.0 — now Mac OS X compatible — can use the GIGAport AG to control up to 8 analog RCA outputs, along with an S/PDIF optical output if you prefer. The device is equipped with a 24-bit D/A converter and works with ASIO 2.0 drivers, so it functions with Mac OS X (and Mac OS 9 as well).
Traktor DJ Studio is a software-based DJ mixing solution. DJs can use the software to do live mixing and production mixing using MP3, WAV, AIFF and audio CD tracks. Graphic waveform displays, tempo recognition, automatic synchronization and other features enable DJs to more effectively mix on the fly using their Macs.
Only available through Native Instruments’ own online e-store, the Traktor DJ Studio 2.0 bundle costs US$349 — a $49 savings over buying the products separately, according to Native Instruments.
