FileMaker Inc. is making four free Web services for FileMaker Pro 6 users available by working with ServiceObjects Inc., a company that specializes in building Web services.
The ServiceObjects’ DOTS Web Services, which are free downloads through September 30 are:
All of the services may be accessed 100 times per day. Through ServiceObjects, FileMaker Pro developers will have ready access to Web services so they can create custom applications that automatically gather and share information over the Web, said aid Dominique Goupil, president of FileMaker Inc.
FileMaker Pro 6 users may also download customized XSLT (Extensible Style Sheets), which allow for XML data exchange between FileMaker Pro 6 and specific XML based data sources, for free.
Yesterday FileMaker Inc. launched a new site aimed at K-12 administrators and educators. The site offers free, ready-to-use software solutions and information about how educators and developers alike utilize the powerful database technology.
