The producers of Mac Design Magazine are launching the first annual “Mac Design Conference” May 28-30 at the Rosemont Convention Center in Chicago, Illinois.
The conference will offer over 40 sessions of real-world training in Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Illustrator, Flash, InDesign, After Effects, QuarkXPress, Mac OS X and Final Cut Pro. Speakers include Photoshop guru Ben Willmore, “Photoshop WOW! Book” author Jack Davis, Web diva Lynda Weinman, Quark and InDesign trainer David Blattner, Design Tools Monthly’s Jay Nelson, Mac Design Magazine’s Multimedia Editor Rod Harlan and more.
Conference goers can also attend special Mac OS X sessions by Mac author and trainer, David Pogue. The expo hall will offer attendees a chance to check out the latest digital cameras, printers, stock photography, graphics tablets and other products.
Registration is US$399. The price includes admission to all sessions, expo pass, and workbooks that accompany the training sessions. For more info, or to register, go to the conference Web site.
“Since Macintosh is without a doubt the platform for graphics professionals, it has always seemed pretty ironic to me that there’s no annual graphics show just for Macintosh designers,” said Kelby in announcing the Mac Design Conference. “Our goal is to create a high-energy training event that brings together the best-known Macintosh graphics instructors in the world today to share the latest tips and techniques for the programs Macintosh-based designers use most.”
