Medea Corp. has announced that its VideoRaid disk arrays will be demonstrated in numerous partner booths at the InterBEE 2002 trade show in Tokyo. One of those booths is Apple’s, the company said.
VideoRaid RT disk arrays are specifically designed for DCC applications like 2D/3D animation, compositing, special effects, game development and non-linear video editing (NLE), according to the folks at Medea Corp. In June the disk arrays were qualified by Pinnacle Systems to work with Pinnacle’s CineWave video-editing and compositing systems.
According to Medea Corp., Apple will be using the VideoRaid disk arrays in its InterBEE booth, as well as Pinnacle Systems’ CineWave. CineWave is an editing and compositing application that provides unlimited layering, effects, advanced non-linear editing, motion tracking, paint and compositing tools. CineWave provides a variety of editing capabilities for acquisition, post-production, and delivery in most formats, including: DV, DigiBeta, uncompressed 601, PAL, NTSC, 1080i, 1080p, 4:3, 16:9, DVD, and the Web.
