Callisto Corp. has released PhotoParade 4.0, a new version of their digital photo slideshow toolkit. The new version gains features and abilities, and while it’s not yet native for Mac OS X, it will run as a “Classic” application.

PhotoParade is used to organize and create customized digital picture slideshows with captions that can be e-mailed to friends and relatives. The software features integrated screensaver and desktop wallpaper capabilities, and more.
Improvements in PhotoParade 4.0 include the addition of new “themes” that can be customized with designs, colors and text styles. More than a dozen new “special occasion” themes have also been added. PhotoParade 4.0 also supports larger photos with this release, features a “Save to CD” function, and more. The developer has also changed PhotoParade’s file extension to avoid conflicts with other applications.
PhotoParade 4.0 is available for online download; licensing starts at US$19.99. Folks who bought PhotoParade Maker 3.0 after October 15, 2002 can upgrade for free.
