Premiere is Adobe’s digital video editing solution. RealVideo 9 is a popular codec for streaming video on the Internet — a competitor to Apple’s own QuickTime technology. With this plug-in installed, Premiere users can export their work to files that can then be played back using RealNetworks’ own viewer technology.
Enhancements to RealVideo 9 over previous versions of RealVideo include a 30 percent bandwidth reduction with the ability to maintain the same quality level, according to RealNetworks. RealVideo 9 supports HDTV formats and resolutions at lower data rates. The technology is supported by the RealOne Player — available for Mac OS X.
