Seapine Software has released TestTrack Pro 5.0, the latest major release of its software development management product for multiple platforms, including Mac OS X.

TestTrack Pro 5.0 is aimed at software developers working on multiple platforms who need tools to help simplify tracking defects and managing the testing process. It offers client and server support for Windows, Linux, Solaris and Mac OS X by working through JavaScript and Web browsers. It also works hand-in-hand with another Seapine product, Surround SCM — a source code control system.
TestTrack Pro 5.0 implements a newly designed XSL-based reporting engine which can produce charts and graphs displaying trend and distribution data. Users can customize report layouts. It includes multiple shared report templates, additional data and sorting options, and more export options than previous versions as well.
A new automatic defect routing technology has also been incorporated into TestTrack Pro 5.0; users can define routing rules based on the changes to a defect’s status and other important criteria they can identify. New custom fields, quick links in the Web client list windows and other changes have also been made.
Pricing for TestTrack Pro 5.0 starts at US$299 per user and decreases with quantity.
