Red Giant Software LLC announced its presence today. The new publisher is starting out by distributing Knoll Light Factory and Magic Bullet, tools used by digital video editors on the Macintosh.

Knoll Light Factory 2 is a lighting effects plug-in set for After Effects and Photoshop, Premiere and Final Cut Pro. It includes 25 plug-ins that support 16-bit rendering and provide effects from simple flares and glows to “photon torpedo” style images. Each filter offers user-adjustable controls, as well. It’s available for US$395. (If you already use Knoll Lens Flare Pro or Light Factory you can upgrade for $99).
Magic Bullet is a set of five plug-ins for After Effects designed to work as a 24p mastering system. The suite of plug-ins converts digital video to 24 frames per second, along with tools to create film looks, filters and post-production processes. The suite is available in both Standard Definition (SD) and High Definition (HD) formats and costs $1,995.
