Medea Corp. will exhibit a variety of VideoRaid disk array products at this week’s DV Expo West trade show in Los Angeles, California. Among the products to be demoed is the company’s line of fail-safe VideoRaid disk arrays that have been optimized for use under Mac OS X 10.2 Jaguar.
The disk arrays will be demonstrated in the Medea booth with the following Mac OS X compatible content creation systems: AJA’s Kona-SD, Digital Voodoo’s D1 64RT and Pinnacle Systems’ CineWave HD. The new DPS VelocityQ system will also be shown with VideoRaid supporting the real-time playback of four simultaneous streams of video.
VideoRaid RT disk arrays are specifically designed for DCC applications like 2D/3D animation, compositing, special effects, game development and nonlinear video editing (NLE), according to Medea Corp. In June the disk arrays were qualified by Pinnacle Systems to work with Pinnacle’s CineWave video-editing and compositing systems. And last month VideoRaid disk arrays were showcased in various booths, including Apple’s, at the InterBEE 2002 trade show in Tokyo.
