UK-based educational software publisher Sherston Software Ltd. has announced the release of Izzy’s Island, a new educational game for four and five year olds. Izzy’s Island is designed to develop and reinforce many basic skills, according to Sherston.
Ten activities include three different levels of difficulty on Izzy’s Island, where kids will listen to stories, learn vocabulary of size and color, perform matching and sorting activities, learn numerals from 1 to 9, count small groups of items, and much more.
The CD-ROM is accompanied by resource sheets that educators and parents are encouraged to photocopy to use away from the computer as well. The game ships on dual-platform CD-ROM with support for Windows and “Classic” Mac OS. It costs £45 (excluding VAT) for a single user. Multi-user packs are also available.
