4W WebMerge is used to create static Web pages from database or spreadsheet data content. The software works in conjunction with tab-delimited, Merge, or other tabular-formatted data, including FileMaker Pro, Microsoft Access and AppleWorks. WebMerge then merges that data into HTML pages created from templates that you generate. WebMerge can create index pages with links to detail pages, as well.
New template tags in WebMerge 2.1 provide the ability to label groups of items on an index page, display the range of records on a given index page, and insert field data in a form to submit to a CGI. The new version also sports improved documentation and examples, fixes bugs, and tweaks performance.
You can download WebMerge 2.1 and try it out before buying it; a single user license costs US$79. It runs on Mac OS 8.0 or later, including Mac OS X.
