DeepTrouble is a futuristic 3D action game set in the 22nd century, under the seas of a future Earth ravaged by environmental destruction. Melting polar caps have led rising seas, and now 90 percent of the world’s land mass is under water. You assume the role of the commander of a submarine sent to investigate the cause of underwater contamination that threatens Earth’s fragile ecosystem — and you discover that the ocean floor is being populated by a hostile alien species.
Players maneuver a submarine to destroy alien colonies through 10 levels of varying difficulty. You’ll take on a variety of alien vehicles with different skills while collecting power-up pods to help recharge your energy and upgrade your weapons.
System requirements call for Mac OS 9.x or later (including Mac OS X 10.1 or later), Power Mac G3/333MHz or faster with RAGE 128 with 8MB VRAM or better video card (or iMac DV 400MHz or faster); 128MB RAM; 800×600 resolution.
DeepTrouble is available for download from Macgamefiles.com. The download is the full game, although it will restrict play to the first two levels until you buy a registration code, which costs US$29.95.
