NXRAID supports partition-based RAID for IDE, FireWire, SCSI and Fiber Channel systems connected to Macs running Mac OS X 10.2.1 either in its consumer or server versions. Nyro Technix noted that if you buy NXRAID now, you’ll get a free patch for 10.2.2 compatibility which is anticipated for release soon.
RAID 5 systems use data striping and stripe error correction information spread across multiple hard disk drive mechanisms to provide users with high performance combined with good fault tolerance. Such systems utilize three or more hard disk drive mechanisms.
Nyro Technix Inc. sells NXRAID for US$189. Visit the Web site for more details.
