Sharp Systems of America has announced a new 17-inch SXGA (1280 x 1024) LCD display. The LL-T17A3, an analog monitor that incorporates a TFT LCD that achieves a contrast ratio of 500:1.
The display also boasts built-in stereo speakers and 250-nit brightness, “enabling bright, clear pictures in which even small letters are clearly legible,” said Greg Nakagawa, senior vice president and general manager of Sharp Systems of America. The Sharp LL-T17A3 offers white balance (color temperature) adjustment that can be adjusted from “warm” to “cool” by choosing from one of the five presets, or by adjusting red, blue, and green values individually.
The monitor also has a color management function compatible with the “sRGB” international standard for color reproduction. Color matching is achieved with sRGB compatible peripheral equipment. The unit is equipped with a “Vivid” mode for dynamic primary colors, and “Standard” mode for displaying colors beyond the sRGB standard.
The LL-T17A3 is available in frost gray or black and features a long-life (approximately 50,000 hours) backlight. It’s available immediately at an estimated street price of US$549.
