TNC has updated XBase, a new software tool designed to work with Mac OS X Server and WebObjects.
Xbase can be used to build online news and a Web magazine-style Web site on with Mac OS X Server. WebObjects-based, the product is aimed at small to medium sized corporations, educational institutions and other organizations that want to serve up Web based news content or a Web magazine.
XBase sports an unlimited category system, reporter mode and administrator mode, and can be used to manage articles, administer online forums, manage advertising, polls and more.
Version 1.0.1 improves performance and adds a mailing list manager. Users can now send news to subscribers with HTML format mail in the mailing list manager.
TNC is offering a special promotion for XBase that starts today and runs through January 15. With the special, you can buy XBase for US$499 (the regular price is $899). System requirements are Mac OS X Server 10.1.3 or later, WebObjects 5.1 Deployment, OpenBase SQL Database 7.0.8 or later. XBase can be purchased and downloaded at the TNC Web site.
