BOSFCPUG’s own Steve Garfield will talk about using QuickTime in cause-related media. He’ll be showing his coverage of a recent anti-war rally that took place on Boston Common. Sean Sanders of CustomFlix will also be on hand to talk about his company’s custom DVD publishing service. Ravi Jain will talk about using text descriptors in QuickTime 6 and Mac OS X. And Dennis Flynn of Discreet, Inc. will be on hand to present Cleaner 6 for OS X and talk about how the software can work with Final Cut Pro.
As always, the BOSFCPUG meeting will feature the “Big Dig Raffle,” where participants can enter to win prizes including software, books and more. This month’s meeting will also give Big Dig Raffle participants a chance to get a Thanksgiving turkey from Bread and Circus. Proceeds go to The Mirror Project, a nonprofit DV filmmaking collaborative.
As always, attendance is free, although registration is encouraged (and participating in the raffle costs US$5). The meeting kicks off at 6:30 pm at the Comm 101 Hall. ( Click here for directions.)
