Media 100 Inc. has updated Media 100i, their Web site interactive streaming production system, to version 8.1.
Media 100i Version 8 (V8) is a Mac OS X-native solution for professional content creators, broadcast designers and digital media artists. V8 now ships with all Media 100i configurations, including the new US$1,995 Media 100i/DV. Media 100i Version 8 was designed to take maximum advantage of OS X and includes a new multithreaded architecture enabling increased performance on multiprocessor systems and a new Aqua-compatible user interface with numerous usability improvements, according to the company.
There are no online details about what changes are in version 8.1. However, it’s a free update for registered users of V8 and is now available for download.
