If you love your PowerBook and iPod but you’re looking for some harder-edged desktop accessories to go with them, check out Red Dye #3’s new Metal Gear line. The new line of products promises to combine “a consistent look and tremendous durability.”

The company’s first two featured accessories are the PowerBook Computer Stand and Apple iPod Stand. Both are finished in a medium grey color.
The PowerBook stand elevates the PowerBook and provides a dual shelf system that you can use to store peripherals and a keyboard and mouse. The top level where the PowerBook rests also adjusts forward and back.
The iPod Stand can be used on either a desktop or a car; it features a bottom piece that slides out of its desktop base bracket and is designed to fit a standard automobile cup holder. It also has an angle adjustment that lets you tilt the iPod to suit varied light conditions.
The company also features a complementary line of CD and DVD storage units, a media spindle, and the “Data Garage,” an all-purpose organizer that features a closeable door.
Red Dye #3 does not list prices, but links to their resellers show that the PowerBook stand carries a retail price of about US$109, while the iPod stand runs about $59. Other accessories run from $17 to $119.
